the story behind

The designer and founder is a city girl, a passionate skier and a software engineer in the financial sector. While out and about in the mountains, she made a momentous discovery during a special event – the “Almabtrieb”. The shepherds were heading down into the valley, clad in an extraordinary fabric.

“Loden” has been protecting shepherds, mountaineers and hunters from the cold, wind and water for centuries. A natural high-tech fabric that retains its shape and fits perfectly in any situation. A material that retains its style.

Water-repellent.

Temperature-regulating.

Windproof.

But until now only available as traditional costume. Loden had never been available in fashion before. It couldn’t stay that way.

The ALPIN LODGE fashion label was born.

Statement on Alpin Lodge

Alpin Lodge was born out of my idea to show that clothes made from natural materials can look just as casual, stylish and glamorous as those made from man-made materials that are often used for this purpose.

During the development of the first collection, I realized how suitable the combination of loden and leather is for creating casually elegant, timeless garments. Therefore, this is the basis of the collection from which all designs are created.

My inspiration is Chicago, an extremely versatile city with a relaxed atmosphere that exudes a unique lifestyle, from the sportiness and ease of Lake Michigan to the Riverwalk, the casually elegant Magnificent Mile and the chic bars and restaurants.
